Frequently asked questions

Will move-out cleaning help me get my security deposit back?+

Yes — that's exactly what it's designed for. We follow a thorough checklist landlords and property managers expect, and we can provide a receipt for documentation.

Should the home be empty before you arrive?+

Ideally yes. We can clean around remaining items, but a fully empty home lets us reach every surface — that's what produces deposit-ready results.

How far in advance should I book a move-in/out clean?+

We recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks ahead, especially during end-of-month windows when demand spikes.

Do you clean inside the oven and refrigerator?+

Oven and fridge interior cleaning are popular add-ons ($75 each). Just let us know when booking and we'll include them.

Move-in and move-out cleaning, explained

How a professional move-out clean protects your deposit (or your sale)

Move-in and move-out cleaning is the most detail-intensive service we offer. The home is empty, every surface is exposed, and there's no furniture to clean around — which means every shelf, drawer, baseboard, and appliance interior gets the attention it doesn't normally receive. Here's how we approach it, when to schedule, and what to expect.

Renters: how a professional clean protects your deposit

Most Illinois lease agreements require the unit to be returned in "broom-clean" or "professionally cleaned" condition. In practice, that's the line landlords use to deduct cleaning fees from your security deposit. A professional move-out clean includes inside-cabinet and inside-appliance detail that DIY cleaning routinely misses, and gives you a clean paper trail if the landlord later disputes the condition. We can provide a dated invoice and (on request) a photo summary you can attach to your move-out documentation.

Sellers and real-estate agents: a clean home shows better

Listing photos lie a little — buyers in person notice fingerprints on stainless, dust on baseboards, and the kitchen smell that the previous owners stopped noticing years ago. We work regularly with real estate agents across Hinsdale, Burr Ridge, Oak Brook, and Naperville on pre-listing cleans and pre-showing detail visits. For occupied homes preparing to list, we recommend a deep clean followed by light recurring visits before each open house. For vacant homes, a single move-out style clean is usually enough.

Buyers: starting fresh in your new home

Even a home that looks clean at walkthrough usually isn't. Previous owners' cleaning standards vary widely, and the move itself kicks up dust the prior cleaning never reached. A move-in clean before your furniture arrives lets us reach every surface — inside cabinets, inside drawers, baseboards, vent covers, ceiling fans, light fixtures, appliance interiors, and the corners of closets. You'll be unpacking into a genuinely fresh home rather than gradually realizing what the previous owners left behind.

How to schedule and what we need from you

Schedule the clean for after the truck leaves (for move-out) or before the truck arrives (for move-in). The home should be completely empty of furniture, boxes, and personal belongings — any remaining items either need to be removed first or noted in advance so we can route around them. We need running water, working electricity, and lights or natural daylight. If utilities are scheduled to disconnect on a specific date, book the clean before that date.

We'll send a properly-sized team so the visit completes in one shift. For larger homes (4+ bedrooms or 3,000+ square feet), we can split the work across two days if needed.
