I'm the founder of Crystal Broom. I started this company with a simple idea: every home deserves to feel clean, calm, and cared for — and every homeowner deserves a team they can truly trust.

I know how busy life can get. Between work, family, and endless to-do lists, cleaning often becomes the one thing we never have time for. I've been there too. That's why I built Crystal Broom — to help bring that weight off your shoulders and give you back your time, without ever compromising on quality.

A local cleaning company built on relationships, not transactions

Crystal Broom Cleaning was founded to fix what most people quietly hate about hiring a cleaning service: the inconsistency, the rotating strangers, the surprise upcharges, and the feeling that no one really cares about your home. We built a company that treats every visit as a relationship — and we'd rather grow slowly with clients who stay than chase volume and burn out.

Where we work and who we serve

We're based in Clarendon Hills and serve homes and small businesses across the western Chicago suburbs — DuPage and Will County, primarily. That includes Hinsdale, Burr Ridge, Oak Brook, Westmont, Willowbrook, Downers Grove, Lisle, Naperville, Plainfield, Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Lemont, Homer Glen, Lockport, Darien, Woodridge, La Grange, Western Springs, Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn, and a handful of nearby cities. How we hire and train our cleaners

Every Crystal Broom cleaner goes through a multi-step hiring process before they ever set foot in a client's home: an in-person interview, a reference check, a background check, and a paid training period working alongside an experienced team lead. We don't subcontract, and we don't use day labor. The person cleaning your home is a Crystal Broom employee, insured under our policy, and accountable to our standards.

Training covers our checklists for residential, deep, move-out, and commercial visits; safe handling of different floor types (hardwood, engineered wood, marble, granite, tile, LVP, and carpet); pet- and child-safe product use; and the soft skills that matter most — discretion, communication, and care for your space.

Our promise on quality, communication, and pricing

We quote in writing and we honor what we quote. If something on the day of service is significantly different from what we discussed (a home in much worse condition than described, for example), we'll call you before doing extra work — never after. If you're ever unhappy with a visit, tell us within 24 hours and we'll come back at no charge to make it right. That promise applies to every recurring, deep, move-out, and commercial client we serve.

Insurance, safety, and what we do if something goes wrong

We carry full general liability insurance and workers' compensation for our entire team. If something gets broken or damaged during a visit — and it occasionally happens, even to careful people — we'll tell you the moment we notice, take a photo, and work with you to repair or replace it through our insurance. No defensiveness, no finger-pointing. That's the deal we make with every client we work with.

Products, equipment, and environmental choices

We default to pet- and child-safe products and bring HEPA-filtered vacuums, color-coded microfiber systems, and EPA-registered disinfectants for bathrooms and kitchens. Fragrance-free options are available for clients with sensitivities or allergies. If you'd prefer we use your own products — no-VOC cleaners, stone-safe formulas for marble countertops, or specific brands you trust — leave them out and we'll use those instead. We avoid the heavy-perfume products that mask dirt rather than remove it.
