Do you run background checks on the people who clean my home?

Yes — it's a standing company policy. Nobody cleans a Crystal Broom home without passing a background check first. That policy covers everyone who performs a cleaning, today and after we hire, and we never subcontract.

Are your cleaners employees or contractors?

Crystal Broom is small and independent. That means consistent standards and someone accountable — us — if anything ever isn't right.

How do you handle keys and home access?

Whatever works for you. Many clients give us a spare key or garage/lockbox code, others prefer to be home for the first visit. Keys are labeled by code (never by address) and stored securely.

Do you charge by the hour or a flat rate?

We give you a flat quote up front based on the size of your home, condition, and the type of clean. No meter running, no surprise fees at the end.

What's the difference between a standard clean and a deep clean?

A standard (recurring) clean maintains an already-cleaned home — kitchens, bathrooms, dusting, floors, and tidy-up. A deep clean is a top-to-bottom reset: baseboards, inside appliances, detailed bathrooms, built-up grime, hard-to-reach areas. New clients usually start with a deep clean, then move to recurring.

Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?

Yes. We arrive fully equipped with professional-grade cleaning products, microfiber cloths, and vacuums. You don't need to have anything ready.

Can you use eco-friendly or fragrance-free products?

Absolutely. Just let us know before your first visit if you'd prefer green, non-toxic, or fragrance-free products, or if anyone in the home has allergies or sensitivities.

What add-ons do you offer?

Inside oven, inside fridge, inside cabinets, interior windows, laundry, and move-in/move-out packages. Add-ons are quoted with your regular service so you always know the total.

How do you keep recurring cleans consistent?

Every home has a written checklist and a profile with your preferences, access notes, product preferences, and any areas to focus on or skip. That way the result is the same visit after visit — you never have to re-explain your home.

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

No. Most of our recurring clients aren't home when we clean. We're happy to work around whatever access arrangement makes you most comfortable.

How far in advance do I need to schedule?

We recommend a week or two of lead time for recurring service, but we do our best to accommodate shorter notice — especially for move-out cleans. Just call or send a quote request.

Yes — 100% satisfaction guaranteed. If something isn't right, let us know within 24 hours of your cleaning and we'll come back to re-clean the areas of concern, free of charge — scheduled as soon as we can fit it in.

What happens if something is damaged or broken?

We're careful, but accidents can happen. If something is damaged during a cleaning, we'll tell you right away and our insurance covers repair or replacement.

What's your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel a recurring visit, so we can offer that slot to another client. Same-day cancellations may include a small fee to cover the cleaner's reserved time.
